I am ready to pour myself into any city on the earth, as God leads, that is ready and serious about city-wide transformation. If you are serious, ready and prepared for a life-altering step toward the biblical pursuit of revival, and there are 120 others who can say the same thing, contact me. Let’s talk.
First, listen to a quick 10 minute or so podcast on this topic, then let me know if God might be striking your heart about this. Email me at john@praytherevolution.com.
I had a dream last night. I actually think I had a few similar dreams, each in a different location, but I clearly remember the last one. It was very simple, but it got my attention as I sensed very strongly the Holy Spirit swirling throughout it.
I was in a new, raw church that met in a warehouse… and for some reason I think one of the cities that I dreamed about was Springfield, Missouri. Anyway, the big idea throughout was that it was effortless to draw a crowd. People just kept showing up.
As I was waking up and thinking about the dream, I was reminded of a ‘back burner’ vision from a couple of years ago. I see myself involved with an event (actually a movement) called ‘onetwenty’. We would cast the vision for a team of hungry, zealous, humble, bold and determined people who have no personal agenda and are ready to step into position. People who are ready to gather together in a city and initiate a “20 Elements of Revival” project. An experiment in the Acts 2 model of city ministry.
Could this be your city? Are there 120 people who are willing (not really willing, but DESPERATE) to put such an endeavor on the front burner of their lives for a solid year?
As God downloaded this idea during a prayer session at Revolution House of Prayer, we saw ourselves in one of the local caves praying in deep unity for 10 days, or however long it took, as we proceeded through the first few elements of revival (from the book). Simply, God had to arrive in great measure as He did in Acts 2 before we proceed.
Gone are the days of seeking a church that will give us the programs we demand. No more minimal participation. This is a call to a severe lifestyle change, a last-hour dive into a biblically normal life of extreme interaction with God. Anybody game?
I read a review on the book at Amazon.com, and it created another burn in my inner man:

A serious call to the saints to Acts living….i wait to hear of Acts results in their city….
The part that got me was, “I wait to hear of Acts results in their city.” We must have Acts results. And, the only way to get Acts results is to do it the Acts way.
So, what do you think?
