PRAY|THE|REVOLUTION

Amy and I have been approached by so many of our friends recently regarding our next phase of ministry and life in general for the Burton family.  So, I thought I’d give you the scoop here and share some of what is stirring in us.

We will be finished giving leadership to the Intro to IHOP internship in a few short weeks.  It’s both sad and exciting as most transitions of God tend to be.  We deeply love our staff and the people that have come through the program in the last year.  We will miss the day-to-day interaction with them a lot!  But, we also can’t wait to launch from that amazing season into the next.

Here’s a snapshot of some of the dreams, vision and plans:

• IHOP: We are thrilled to continue to be a part of this vital ministry.  We are focused on intercession for the nations and any additional ministry that may come our way.  We have met with a department head recently regarding a yet to be initiated ministry, so we’ve taken that possibility to prayer.
• Consulting: This is a ministry that is spontaneously emerging.  I’ll be training leadership teams in churches on ‘Revelation Driven Leadership’.  I will be giving time to developing workbooks and other supporting materials that can be utilized by churches and ministries.  I’m looking for someone to help me put these together.  If you might be interested, please contact me.
• Traveling Teams: This is a core and massive vision.  I see a ministry team developing that would give themselves to serving PRAYTHEREVOLUTION as intercessors, administrators, teachers, worshipers, recruiters, interns and prophetic revivalists.  There is a lot of prophecy around this idea, and it’s foundational to our calling.  We would serve and pray locally, and then move into cities as ’smart bombs’ of prophetic prayer fueled revival.  A key reason for coming to IHOP (one of the key reasons- there are several!) was to eventually recruit a few hundred people to move into cities (like Manitou Springs!) and advance in great power and unity.  This was the final piece of counsel that I received from Mike Bickle before we moved out to KC.  Contact me if this sparks something in you.  john@praytherevolution.com. • Writing: I have a book that must be written titled Pharaoh in the Church.  It’s a prophetic, end-time message to advance the house of prayer movement.  I will be able to focus on that book and others including the consulting materials that we need.
• Graphic/Web Design:  I’ve found a unique combination of ministry and marketing that has proven very beneficial.  For example, I recently ministered in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho and then spent the next day starting on developing their web site.  Ministry is communication and service.  It’s getting the message out whether it’s behind a pulpit, in a book or by designing postcards, webs or other materials.  You can check out my portfolio at www.praytherevolution.com/portfolio.htm.  Sites I’ve developed include www.revolutionchurch.us, www.win1040.com and, of course, www.praytherevolution.com.  
• Teaching: I received two very confirming, yet individually powerful, words back-to-back recently.  During a powerful service at Forerunner Christian Fellowship recently someone approached me.  He is on the leadership team here at IHOP and was on the platform that morning.  He said he had never met me, but was watching me from the platform and recognized me from a dream he had a couple of days prior.  In the dream there were caravans of revival moving into the cities of the earth and back again and the back out to other cities.  He said I was in the very middle of that.  Then, about 20 minutes later, someone else whom I had never met approached me.  He asked if he could prophesy over me.  He said he saw fire in my hands and that I was carrying the fire of revival into the cities of the earth and then back again and then back out to other cities!  I was in Coeur d’Alene and a lady approached me as we were praying prior to the service.  She said she saw fire in my hands.  Someone prophesied over me yesterday and said she was literally sweating as she was experiencing the fire of revival that was on me.  All of that to say- a very important, and timely, focus is prophetic teaching on the fire of revival.  I’ll be in Detroit next week and in Orlando after that.  God is doing something very significant with this right now.  Pray for open doors.  Of course, this is tied to the traveling teams and the focus on consulting.  Let’s hit the cities of the earth and take white hot fire with us!

We are so excited about all of this.  We can’t wait to meet new friends and fellow revivalists.  We’re based here at IHOP and are still serving here.  We pray massive blessing on IHOP, all of you and those who have been standing with us in prayer!  Plus, thank you for your financial support.  We may be releasing our work scholarship as we exit Intro to IHOP, so we are in need of FRESH support.
