PRAY|THE|REVOLUTION

NOTE: This particular night at IHOPE-Detroit, there were three people who reportedly went to heaven.  This is one of the testimonies.

Heaven…an experience I thought was brought with death.

Sure I’ve heard of people who have been to Heaven and back. There are movies, documentaries, books; like A Divine Revelation of Heaven. However, I never thought I’d be one of the people to go there myself, but I did!

I have been thinking about my testimony for a long time, and new revelations hit me almost every time I think about it.

For instance, one of the main struggles I had with it was why I moved from one side of the room to the other. I had thought the prayers were the same, attitude unchanging, but I moved because God told me to. A few weeks ago, the Lord revealed to me one of the reasons why I had to move.

When I was in the prayer room, I had an overwhelming sense of the need for surrender. God was pressing on me so hard to give Him everything, but I was unwilling. One day was so intense, He knocked me to my feet and left me unable to walk. I crawled out of the prayer room into the sanctuary where John was about to teach. Mr. Zettle saw me on my knees struggling to make it down the aisle, and said, "Sara, are you okay down there?" I was embarrassed as thirty heads turned and saw me on the floor, stuck in this place of surrender and wholeheartedness before the Lord. I mumbled, "I’m fine." and gave up on crawling, deciding to leave my shaking body where it was in the middle of the aisle. Throughout the day words were being whispered in my ear, Surrender…surrender…give everything… be humbled by the cross…

This is what the Lord wanted me to see: We cannot go to extreme places in Him without a tender, whole, humbled heart that has willingly given everything to Him. Had I not been forced to recognize the cross and surrender everything to Him the way He surrendered everything to me by dying for me, I wouldn’t have been taken away to Heaven.

Another revelation that reached me: fasting.

For all who are skeptical of fasting, let me tell you something-I fasted, and prayed, and I went to Heaven!! Let that alone speak of the strength and power of fasting.

Early in the day, (like when I woke up at my host home), I felt the Lord say to me "Fast today. Fast everything." So I did.

At lunch, the Lord gave me a song, a song that was my hearts cry:

I want to run away into the holy of holies, I want to run away into your secret place-So take me away into your secret place-Take me away into your holy place-Where man and God become one-And I see you face to face-Oh Lord I want to stay in that place…

That song was the cry of my heart. All day it was on my mind, and that night, as I prayed and prayed for a breakthrough, I was suddenly hit with the Spirit of the Lord, and later that evening I was taken to Heaven!

I truly believe that that song would not have been birthed had I not been fasting. Fasting is powerful, it can change the world. I know this because it changed my life!
