PRAY|THE|REVOLUTION

Colorado Springs, Manitou Springs and the Pikes Peak region simply must discover how to move from operating from a ‘local church’ perspective to a ‘city church’ perspective.  The greatest rallying point for those hungry for God in a city is prayer.  The house of prayer in this city will do much to more quickly resolve the issues that hinder revival.

 

There is a formula for city-wide revival, and it starts and continues with fervant, corporate prayer.  At Revolution House of Prayer I know Miles and the team are crying out night and day for this passion to become reality. (Check out the redesigned website at www.rhop.com.)

 

As local churches make the switch to becoming radically prayer centered, other lesser activities will fall off the calendar which will make it easy to join together on a city level in intercession.

 

Several years ago I was blessed to participate in “Secret Prayer” here in Colorado Springs.  It was a call, voiced initially by Evangelist Juanita Johnson, for all church leadership to join together every Friday night at 10pm.  Over 100 churches ultimately participated at least once over the course of that effort.  The next call must result in over 100 leaders participating at least once A WEEK!  Such a call is critical now more than ever.  As we minimize the pressure of our local focus and maximize the pressure for all of us to sound the alarm on a city level, the unity and power will have exponential effect.  An Acts chapter two verse one focus is key right now on a city level.  My book 20 Elements of Revival hits on this issue extensively.

Again, such a city emphasis must be centered on Holy Spirit driven intercession.  As we make that weekly meeting, whenever it may evolve, job one, we’ll watch the grace and life of Jesus permeate this great city of destiny.

 

I have heard from many people from this area, via email and in person, who are craving a house of prayer movement here.  Let’s pray that God reveals unique strategy to see such people gather together in humility and passion.  It’s time for the church of Colorado Springs to pray together again.
